As a mother of two children I have spent a great deal of time attending many parties and events round London. All young toddlers and kids want to spend time with their mummies at play centres and also have birthday parties.

Having a young girl and an elder boy myself, I realised that they both have different interests and enjoy different types of activities. My daughter loves dolls and doodling whereas my son enjoys playing console games. This triggered an idea of creating an amusement centre for toddlers, kids and young adults offering different types of activities that they could enjoy. In late 2019 I began researching competitors around London and realised that there was not one centre that accommodated both young toddlers, children and young adults with different recreational facilities and hence started putting a plan together.

After exhaustively searching for premises I managed to find a 1800 square foot warehouse based in the heart of London. The warehouse was split over two floors with three spacious rooms.

I put my plan in action to convert the building and create a children’s Soft Play Area on the ground level and Gaming Arena on the upper level as well as having a cafeteria on the ground level. Having a background in interior design I started sketching ideas and with the help of my son we came up with a concept of having popular gaming icons such as Sonic the Hedgehog as well as popular gaming brands and titles designed on the walls on the upper level in the form of graffiti art. For the children’s play area, although I was confined with space I wanted to create a place for young toddlers and kids a place where they can do all types of activities from climbing zones, slides and trampolines to book reading and colouring area. And this was the inspiration for the name GAMETIME PLAYTIME.
